I have never seen this analysis so directly as shown here with energy growth data tied to times of economic and geopolitical instability. And I read a lot about Energy, Biophysical economics, limits to growth etc. The analysis makes a lot of sense to me, gametheoretically, increasing resource flows incentivise cooperation/peaceful competition as most players win even if gains are unevenly distributed, while stagnation must drive economic stress and kinetic conflict as more and more players loose access to sufficient energy and resource flows. Very interesting article!

About farming, or even gardening, there is a ten-year learning curve before you get any good at it. I have farmed for 18 years now and it is getting tougher as I get older. Still, worth trying to learn to grow something and to try keeping a small animal such as rabbits or pigeons. That you can do even if you have a small garden. Good luck!
